1997 + Libra — birth year tattoo design
Free printable tattoo stencil
A tattoo built from two things you cannot change: the year you were born and the sign that came with it. Born in 1997 makes you Libra in the zodiac — balanced, charming and allergic to conflict.
What is in the design
The four digits of 1997 are stacked into a single narrow column and drawn in ornate blackletter calligraphy — sharp tapered spikes, fine hairlines and interlocking swashes, so the whole thing reads as one symbol rather than a date. A pair of balance scales, the beam crossing the column horizontally and two pans hanging on either side.
Solid black ink, no shading and no colour, which is what keeps it readable once it is on skin and as it ages.
Where it sits
The shape is a tall narrow column, so it follows the parts of the body that are already long: the side of the neck, the forearm, the shoulder blade, the ribs. The previews below show the same design in three placements.
